Great weekend. Great Roadtrip.

Lady Gaga, Blackeyed Pea's...all accounted for...

-First stop is obviously coldstone. I mean, who doesn't crave gummy bears in lemon icecream (I should have stuck to the normal...it was gross!)

-Random Horse stop...yes please!

-Breakfast at world's biggest dive!

-Finding a Mikey sign on the side of the road...who knew! and why did I not see this before??

(This was a nice horse until its friend came out and started running lose and wild...and almost removed my hand when I had hay in it)

My horrifying icecream obsession then led us to DQ! Chocolate cookie dough icecream!!! Then strawberry lemonade sounded better...

R&R was much needed this weekend and that is exactly what I got!!! Saturday morning we went into Anchorage for the morning...then came home...I laid down (simply wanting to take a nap before girls night)  didnt move till  3:30am....I was slightly confused when I woke up at that time because it was still complete daylight. Thank you everyone for not waking me up!

*Drinking no caffiene everyday is easy...FALSE!

*Ever have it where something sounds really really good, so you buy it in bulk...then the next day its just not quite what you wanted? fail.

*Got a new bed on Saturday!! I hope I start geting some better sleep! woohoo! slightly dissapointed I wasted 1/2 of it on the couch...

Last night I talked to Mike for awhile...I absoultly just love talking to him. We live in our own little world and it's hilarious. We recalled our first date...which was a disaster. lets recap

1.Worse snow storm of 2007

2. He drove from Jenison to Caledonia and complained the whole way to dinner

3. He had a slightly broken leg.

4. He slipped in the parking lot and flung our leftovers all over the interior of his car

**I swore i'd never answer another one of his calls again...buttt...glad I did.

(I wish I could say this was holloween but I think it was a random night last summer...I mean, who else allows me to have a random dress up party ;)

Today was annoying...

1. My alarm goes off 33 times at 5:45 am. Co-worker arrives at my house- I stare in disbelief at his amazing mood...which ultimatly irritated me since I wasn't.

2. I can't get a grip on my blood sugar! it gets super low, super fast...I don't eat enough...I dont drink enough water... I'm told not to eat sugar...I need MORE sugar...umm hello people! which is it!!!!

3. I have been working  12 hour days...didn't remove the phone from my ear for about 6 of them...everyone I talked to seemed to have no clue they were even on planet earth...

4. Wore a long sleeved button down on the hottest day of the year...which required an industrial sized fan to cool this baby down!

5. Sat in white-out...it does not look good on the back of black pants.

...tomorrow is a new day...

A day in the life!

Welcome to the accounting world after April 15th. Filing, client folders, deposits, and MORE filing!

thankfully at the end of the day my desk was mostly organized :) (the two stacks of folders is a good thing... we had MOUNDS of folders to create and put away!

Unfortunatly I still have limited technology. Thankfully I was able to upload a pic from my phone! I hope to get back in touch with the world soonish!!!! For now I can do most things from my itouch.

So funny story...you probably most likley had to be there, but I can't help but laugh so im sharing.

We go to moose's tooth...Both slap happy (R& I)...so first, kinda pointless bc we drive an hour into town...stay like 45 minutes...then drive an hour back...so we are pulling out of mooses tooth, and I express my need to use the bathroom, very convinced I wouldn't make it all the way home...R says "oh, come to think of it, I kinda wanted to visit Mcdons" (we arn't even out of the place we just ate at)...so we do a BIG u-turn in the street...and go to Mcdons...she drops me off at the door and I asked her TWICE to get my a drink in the drive thru...
  about 3 minutes later I exit mcdnos on the drive thru side and I see a black  jeep, so im about to do some rediculous pose infront of her car...but its not even her car...so I walk to hers...she is ordering her drink for herself and refuses to get me one...also making my try to guess what she ordered. I guessed a cherry pie...she goes on for 5 minutes about how she hates cherry pie... She then tells me if I want a drink I have to get BACK out of the car, and go in and order it. so I walk thru the drive thru tunnel back into the building...the door is locked, so she drives next to me with her window down telling me to go to the otherside...I get into the bulding and the lady at the counter looks at me, and said "Did that girl really make u walk thru the drive thru all the way back in here to get this? honestly...just have a free drink"...
so we are laughing bc Rae looks mean...we are then driving down the road 5 minutes later and this is our convo:
ME:  "cherry pie sounds really good actually"
R:"I don't like Cherry pie, its just not my thing..."
ME: "well it's funny, I already knew that since you just mentioned it 5 minutes ago"
R: "Did I really?"

30 minutes later after complete silence in the car (after a previous 2 hour laugh fest over nothing)
R:"So I guess we've come down"
Me: "Who? the Moose?"
R: "No...us...from our high"

Sorry about the personal reminiscing...I found yesterday to be hilarious... sometimes slaphappy times are the greatest...well not sometimes...they always are!

So apparently God wants my FULL attention!
1. laptop getting worked on...no internet...
2. No internet at work
3. Reading "How to Listen to God" by Charles Stanley and it talks all about "Being Still" and the distractions of television and internet...hmmm

*note taken--at a friends using the internet, but I guess for now I will be still and listen.

Update on the meeting! -It went rather well, I find out on monday! praying!

But for now...
*Feel like complete crap! sleeping until I feel the need to get up to work. blek.
NOTHING sound good to eat except for Calamari...don't ask how that works out....probably won't get it either :(

The week is off to a great start! and so much more to come...

Sunday we went into Anchorage to the Moose's Tooth. It's quite the happening place. Every sunday night the 'pizza' group gets together. This sunday we had to say goodbye to a friend who is moving back home. She will be missed! The girl's had to get one last picture together...The guy's stood by and laughed at us. This was the third attempt picture...Dan zoomed in on my face the first few tries...

Tonight it was my co-workers birthday so we all went to dinner and celebrated. It was a great evening. Here is the birthday man! Once again, I have awesome co-workers!

The rest of the week holds some fun...pictures to come I am sure.

*Im trying to avoid the inevitable...weight gain...so I got on my bike and I rode to work!

*Edge this week...always a great time!

*I spotted 3 moose on the way home from Anchorage yesterday...I have been here for 2.5 months and  have not spotted a single one...then I see 3 in one day! my initial reaction was "OMW! a moose! is it fake?"

*Baby Shower this weekend :)

*Hopefully cheering on my gals as they do the triathalon--I want so badly to be racing with them!!!

ANNDDDD  most importantly, tomorrow morning  I am meeting with a small Accouting firm! I am really praying everything goes well!!! If all goes as planned I will be slightly overwhealmed with work. I met with them today and it seems like it will be a pretty positive thing!

We worked around the yard--I was really in the mood for a fire, so I dug up a firepit and we tried to enjoy it, but couldn't keep the fire going. It served its purpose...we made our dinner over it, and I got my craving for marshmellows under control. life is good! Im exausted today though.

Monday afternoon Yvonne and I went baby shopping! I LOVE LOVE LOVE all the cute girl stuff out! I definitly fell in love with all the swimwear and cute little sunglasses and sandles!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BETHANY

This weekend is Bethany's birthday, and I kinda believe in over-celebrating birthday's! so I am dedicating this blog post to her!

Bethany and I have grown up next door to eachother and have hung out almost everyday for the past 18 years. We have so many outrageous memories together. I miss the days of riding down the stairs in sleeping bags, singing the proclaimers 'I would walk 500 miles' playing endless hours of Barbies, lemonade stands and putting our bikes in the road so people had no choice but to stop! Days of playing "Atendo" (nintendo...I could never pronounce anything right and I always tried to teach bethany how to say things...even though they were wrong). Making forts, going to pebble beach, making countless music videos when we were 12...  and from about ages 4-6 we honestly thought we were twins! we really, really believed this. (Not sure why we thought this...we look NOTHING alike, but we were very convinced).

We ALWAYS thought about our future...we wanted to be 'big girls' so we could go to meijers with no parents (that was a big dream for some reason). Soon after turning 16 we realized there was more to life than going to meijers alone, so we took a few road trips! we are lucky our birthday's are close so we could enjoy most of this around the same time! We got our first apartment together rightout of highschool- which was another thing we ALWAYS talked about doing. 

 When I was fairly young, I wrote her a poem that I had forgot all about, but she found it not too long ago. I must have been in 1st grade...but we laughed for hours due to all the gramatical errors in this:

"I have a friend named Bethany, she's very very Nice- she Is as nice as the taste of honey freash off the comb, She is sweater than a flower Briter than the sun she stand out better that any of them all I like her sense of humer I like her when she down I like her when she hyper as hyper as a ball She's nice all the time I never seen a crime from her that does not trouble from a nikle too a dime"

Now that we are older, we look back constantly and are so thankful for the childhood we got to share together! We have such a wonderful time doing everything...weather it be going out, or just sitting around on a lazy sunday!  In all the fun times, I know she is always there for a serious conversation, or someone I can cry to.  A couple thousand miles has not seperated this friendship at all! She still manages to make me laugh daily, mock me, and even ruin all my baby names! I hope my kids love "Aunt Bethy" as much as me!

Pray. not feeling well. overwhealmed. that is about all for today.

This past week was awesome! We had fantastic weather the whole week. We went into Anchorage for the day. As you can see I was pretty stoked to see my favorite store Forever 21-which I haven't stepped foot into in almost 3 months!!!

Work was awesome! I really am thankful to be where I am. It's fun, and the people I work with always crack me up, bring me food, and surprise me with my favorite beverages :) They are too good to me!

I had small group on Thursday as usual...always a good time. I missed the lesson unfortunately due to work but made it just in time for hide and go seek in the dark- Something I haven't played in years. It turned out to be a great night! I miss the days of playing as a child when I could fit into the dryer. I don't quite fit into little spaces anymore-and why I thought trying was a good idea is beyond me!!
